On Tuesday 21st August 2024, WDC Programme Officer Mr Marvin Edgar and Director Dr Claudia Fevrier visited the Soin De Beaute Day Spa and School of Beauty Therapy in La Toc, Castries, where courses in Massage Therapy and Nail Technology are offered to candidates registered in our programme. This visit was followed by trips on Tuesday 27th August 2027 to the National Skill Development Centre in Vide Bouteille, Castries where courses in Cookery and Bartending are offered, and the School of Art & Design in the same locality where photography and graphic design are pursued by our programme participants. The purpose for the visits included:
- Learn more about the institutions and the courses being pursued by our participants
- Find out how the learners were getting along
- Whether there were any challenges or issues
The field trips turned out to be truly informative and worthy exercises and WDC Staff members vowed to repeat the exercise on a fairly regular basis.
