As reported on a post on this subject earlier, The Department of Education, Innovation and Vocational Training will be conducting a series of scholarship sensitization outreach events. One of the main objectives is to inform young people in the country – especially in the out-districts of the scholarship opportunities available to them.
The first event was held at the Clendon Mason Memorial Secondary School in Dennery from on Thursday, 25th May from 6:00pm. The Workforce Development Centre (WDC) was represented by the WDC Programme Officer – Mr Marvin Edgar – who made a presentation on the work of the WDC. Also in attendance from the WDC was Mr Peter Myers – Information Technology Officer – who provided additional support.
